Devblog Week 9/10: End Sprint 3
We are at the end of sprint 3.
It was a race to get everything done, but it worked out.
The last 2 week were about finishing the level, adding decorations and adding the last new mechanics and fixing stuff. A lot fixing. Some new mecanichs that we introduced are: Traps (spikes and swinging axe), better loot system, new door mechanics, A teleporting system between rooms and so much more.
The Shaman can now properly teleport with some partilce fx. He also has 2 spells. The first one is a fireball that leaves a trial of fire behind it. Like this the shaman tries to divide the group of players with a fire wall. The second spell is 5 spikes that are shot in different directions.
The skeleton is complety remade, and this time with behaviour trees (like the shaman). This makes his decision making better and more adjustable.
The doors are improved aswell. Now all the players need to be in front of it open it. And only when all the players go trough he will close.
Maybe one of the most important new things is that our characters can die and they can be revived by there team mates. We also have 2 new characters to make the game more diverese. So every player can play with another character. Next to that, there are a lote of new particles and small decoration meshes.
The level is also extended. We now have 5 big level pieces. And to go to another piece there is a teleport system set up that can teleport the whole team to the next level room.
Last week we had feedback that our level was to dark and the outline around the characters were to way to bright. So we have complete new lighting in our level and we fixed the outline.
The end of sprint 3 was hard work. But we're getting there!
See you next week!
